Scarlett Johansson is an American actor and singer who was born in New york city in the United States on November 22 in 1984. Her performance has won the attention of a broad selection of genres like the genres of period drama, thrillers and action-packed adventures. Johansson was born in New York City, and was raised by an father who was an architect and her mother, a producer. The twin brothers Hunter as well as her mother were the youngest siblings. She developed an interest in acting from a very young age and was auditioning for commercials before the age of seven. She enrolled in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute shortly after, and later attended at the Professional Children's School, Manhattan to further her education. As a child, she starred in a role with Ethan Hawke in the Off-Broadway production Sophistry and when she turned nine, she had her first film role on Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson was next seen in Just Cause (1996), however the film Manny & Lo 1996 that brought her to the forefront. The film is about two girls orphaned and fleeing. The film, The Horse Whisperer, Johansson as a teen victim of a horrific accident. Her role in Ghost World, 2001 as the outcast teen Rebecca earned her more recognition.
